Pilates

Mat Pilates is a form of exercise that has an incredibly
wide range of positive effects on your body.  With regular
practice, you will strengthen, lengthen and sculpt your
body, increase your flexibility and improve your posture.  

Mat Pilates is based on the Pilates exercise system and
uses a series of controlled movements engaging your
body and mind to improve flexibility and strength without
building bulk.  Mat Pilates builds strong postural and
abdominal muscles through a unique series of mat
exercises.  Each exercise stretches and strengthens your
muscles while opening your joints and releasing tension.
 Your mental and physical well-being is enhanced leaving
you feeling refreshed and alert.  The Pilates technique
itself is founded on a set of principles which aims to bring
the whole body balanced, coordinating the upper and
lower musculature with the body's center.  Additionally,
Mat Pilates integrates breath with movement, promoting
relaxation, while enhancing mental clarity.  Whether you
are a beginner or simply want to improve your level of
fitness, Mat Pilates will improve the way you look and feel
in an environment that is non-competitive and fun!

Private classes using Pilates apparatus equipment are
available by appointment.
