Yoga

The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root "yuj" meaning to
unite or to harmonize.  It refers to a union of the body, mind and
spirit.  Yoga is a philosophy, an art, a science and also a therapy.

Classes are taught in a noncompetitive environment and are
designed to encourage each student to know and appreciate their
own body.  Using breath-work and yoga postures (with
modifications as needed) the goal of each class is to gently
strengthen and increase flexibility in the body while exploring the
connections between mind, body and spirit.  Each class will
include reclining, seated, standing and kneeling asanas (poses).
You will walk away from class with a relaxed, healthy body and a
sense of well-being.

We do have mats, blocks, straps, blankets and pillows available
for your use during one of our classes, however, you are more
than welcome to bring your own as well.
